Installation guide
Open Steam
Start Steam and sign in. The game runs through Steam as "Spacewar", which every Steam account can use, so you don't need to install anything in Steam.
Unzip the game
Unzip the Happy Wars Returns folder anywhere you like, for example C:\Games\HappyWarsReturns.
Launch & play
Run
Launcher.exeand press Play. The first time, accept the account agreement. Your account and progress are then kept on the Happy Wars Returns server, not on your PC.Tweak your settings
The game starts fullscreen at 1280×720. To change the resolution or play in a window, use Options in the launcher.
Game won't start?
If the game doesn't start, or complains about a missing file such as:
d3dx9_43.dllX3DAudio1_7.dllXINPUT1_3.dllMSVCR100.dllMSVCP100.dllinstall these two free Microsoft runtimes, then try again:
Launcher.exe the first time you run it. Click More info, then Run anyway.
